Self-inflating double pad for two.
A thick self-inflating pad with a generous width of 120 cm. The manufacturer does not specify an R-value, i.e., the insulation capacity for the pad, but in practice, this is a good choice from late spring to early autumn.
Fabric: 75 denier polyester fabric.
The self-inflating pad is unrolled upon arriving at camp, and the valve is opened. At this point, the foam inside the pad begins to return to its original shape, and the pad draws air into itself through the valve. Finally, if desired, one can blow a few more breaths into the pad and then close the valve. Upon leaving the camp, the valve is opened, and the air is rolled out of the pad.
We recommend storing self-inflating pads opened up with the valve open as well. This helps keep the foam lofty.
