3000 W max. output and the possibility to use inverted canisters - a gas stove that also works in the cold.
At a ripe old age of 130, Primus still keeps coming up with developing their products. This stove has been developed “while wearing gloves”, meaning its use does not require you to do anything too fiddly.
The Ulti Stove, also known as the Expedition Stove System, is aimed at demanding use regardless of weather conditions or altitude. Regular gas stoves have trouble in cold conditions, as the butane in the gas blend does not reach a state of vapour, thus leaving it at the bottom of the canister.
Gas cartridge sold separately.
However, when a stove is designed to work with gas that reaches it in a liquid state, you can invert the gas cartridge, enabling the butane to burn as well. This applies to the Ulti Stove and is a crucial part of its design.
The burner is based on catalytic combustion and infrared glow, and creates a large glow instead of a sharp, blue flame. The stove’s structure offers good wind protection to the wide, glowing burner. It is delivered with a one liter pot, fully equipped with heat transfer fins.
