The Abstral jacket is very light, while still providing protection from both wind and rain. The small packing size is partly based on the so-called In a 2.5-layer construction, where a waterproof but breathable coating has been made on the inside of the surface fabric, and an extremely light lining material layer has been printed on the inside of this material.

For best function and comfort, it’s advisable wear a long-sleeved shirt with a 2.5-layer jacket. We don’t recommend the jacket for carrying a heavy backpack - the material is ultralight and durable enough for use on its own or with a light daypack.
