As soon as the map hits the light beam, a reactive Petzl light will reduce its output dramatically. The same applies to more reflective environments; the light keeps your perceived level of lighting constant by adjusting its own power.

This technology enhances battery running time and makes for very comfortable use. You can choose different levels of lighting to find your preferred balance between performance and run time. You can also choose Standard lighting, which disengages the reactive automation.
