Aluminium espresso maker, 300 ml.
A traditional moka pot works on electric and gas stoves (but not induction) as long as the stove’s pot supports extend far enough toward the center of the burner.
To use it, unscrew the moka pot (the top and bottom parts are threaded together), pour cold or hot water into the bottom section, insert the filter, fill it with your favorite coffee, and screw the top back on. Place the pot on the stove or burner. Boiling water creates pressure that pushes the water through the coffee grounds. Once coffee starts brewing, it’s best to reduce the heat. When all the water in the bottom has vaporized and the coffee is ready, the pot will start to make gurgling sounds—this is the right moment to take it off the stove.
Unlike a percolator, a moka pot empties its water reservoir during use and does not recirculate the coffee.
The result is a creamy, full-bodied coffee—with a noticeably richer flavor than drip coffee.
Since the aluminum body of the moka pot gets very hot during use, it’s best to pour the coffee out for enjoyment and then let the pot cool down.
Always wash the moka pot by hand, not in the dishwasher. Not suitable for induction stoves. Do not place in a microwave.
