Nordisk Halland 2 LW 2.0

A tunnel tent, whether with a short or long vestibule, has assumed a very strong role in the Nordic hiking culture. It is, in fact, an almost self-evident choice for many hikers. The tunnel structure withstands strong winds lengthwise and offers good interior space relative to its weight.

The Halland 2 LW represents the short vestibule school of thought. It has two poles and a lowered foot end, which helps keep the weight well under control. In wind tests, the Halland has reached a result of 25m/s without damage - such storm winds can break and topple trees. Due to its structure being made to withstand the winds common in Nordic mountains -the manufacturer has chosen to call it LW = light weight, instead of UL (for ultralight).

This 2.0 version has several improvements over its predecessor, including more reinforced storm guy line attachment points, upgraded guy line tensioners, and an arc in the outer tent that enhances ventilation options. There are also fewer attachment components between the inner and outer tent. Additionally, the mosquito net in the inner tent is larger.

As is almost always the case with such tents, the pole tunnels are on the fly, and the inner tent is buttoned inside it. This means the inner tent goes up with the outer tent, protected from rain. The outer tent can also be set up separately if desired.

The weight includes everything delivered in the package. The minimum weight includes only the parts required for pitching the tent in low winds, with other pegs and extra packing bags omitted.
