Old growth forest: preserve, protect, care, stop, look and listen. 10% of the profit for forest preservation!
The graphic works of artist-designer Tuuli Sotamaa illustrate Metsä/Skogen’s new Ikimetsä clothing collection, which supports the Elämää Ulkona forest conservation project!
“The significance of the aspen tree to the forest ecosystem is immense, which is why I wanted to immortalize it as part of the Ikimetsä collection. The aspen is like the beating heart of the forest, around which a diverse, delicate, and unique ecosystem is woven. It is a pillar of nature, supporting hundreds of plants, animals, and insects—many of them rare or endangered,” Tuuli explains about the background of her illustration.

Scandinavian Outdoor and Metsä/Skogen, with contributions from customers, partners, and our own team, have begun raising funds for the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation. Our primary goal is to protect Finland’s diverse forest nature.
You too can help ensure that life in Finland’s forests, shores, and wetlands remains diverse. The Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation offers a direct, tangible way to support conservation. The Metsä/Skogen clothing line is designed out of love for diverse forests. By wearing items from this collection, you join a community of forest friends. 10% of the collection’s proceeds go to the Elämää Ulkona forest conservation through the Finnish Natural Heritage Foundation.
The shirt’s print uses water-based WBI (Waterbased Ink) inks, meeting all sustainability and ecological standards. The prints feel soft and don’t trap heat, unlike transfers or plastisol-based prints. Printing screens are cleaned with an environmentally friendly screen-washing machine.
