Douchebags is now DB
Norwegian design, top-quality production
How did it all start?
DB. Freeride skier Jon Olsson and engineer Truls Brataas put their heads together in 2009 with the goal of creating uniquely functional bags for urban outdoor enthusiasts whose lifestyle involves a lot of travel. Before long, DB had won the Gaselle Award six times, and DB products gained recognition at events like the ISPO trade fair. DB’s headquarters remain in Oslo.
Idea - project - prototype - product
Product development still follows the original path: it’s not enough for an idea to seem good; the prototype must also work well in practice. DB now uses a significant amount of recycled materials in its production. The company currently employs 60 people. And the name change? “Douchebags” once seemed like a funny joke, but the more neutral and stylish acronym “DB” better reflects the essence of the products.
