Trangia 25-23 UL/Duossal

The 25 series is the larger of Trangia stoves and suitable for 3 to 4 people. The outer pot is 1.75 and the inner one 1.5 liters in volume. Duossal pots were off market for some years, but thankfully they’re now available again. The pots have an UL aluminium (Ultra Light) body and a .3 mm thick layer of stainless steel on the inside. Stainless steel is a popular material in professional kitchens, and is extremely durable and easy to clean. The Trangia is a living legend among stoves, and works just as well as it always has: it’s super sturdy, doesn’t get knocked down easily, it has excellent wind protection, a super quiet alcohol burner and it’s essentially a ready-to-use set: all you need in addition is fuel and matches. Ok, they’re available as spare parts but a bit of patience is rewarded with a leak-free experience. Note! Cooking with stainless steel may require a bit of practice - the surface is pure metal, without any sort of nonstick coating. When frying, for instance, you’ll want to aim for great temperature control and enough fat.
