When moving with a car, canoe or other method where weight is not super important, you can invest in extra comfort. On the other hand, the Polarshield is packed to half, unlike many camping pads, which means that the packing size in itself is not overly massive even for backpackers. The Polarshield 120 is 12 centimeters thick and its insulating capacity is sufficient for temperatures all the way down to -19ºC if necessary.
