My Backpack is a plain language guide to hiking. The book is intended for people who are interested in nature and hiking, for whom Finnish is a foreign language or who, for other reasons, have difficulty understanding the general language and special vocabulary. The book is based on the Reppu skill book for adventurers and tarpojis and contains information about patrolling, camping and preparing for various excursions. In addition, the book talks about safety and nature. The book has received state support for the Selkeskus’ clear literature. 72 pages, four color images, book size approx. 25 x 17.5 x 0.6 cm The book was published on 21 May 2016 at the Finnish Scouts’ Spring Championships, where, for the first time, a separate series of competitions was organized for sister scouts. The crab team (Nuotiotytöt ry / Turku Sinikotkat ry), which won the series, was honored to be the first recipient of the book.
