The Kalixfors SF Extra uses the Hanwag Straight Fit Extra last, which is wider at the front of the foot, and allows the big toe to align straight forward. The lace tension can be adjusted separately at the foot and the shaft, independently of each other - in both sections, most of the lace loops have ball bearings that equalize the tension within the section, and the locking loop at the ankle isolates the sections from each other.
