Exped Ultra 5R LW

The 7 cm thick Ultra 5R takes advantage of Exped’s Synmat series technology: the air compartments are covered with lightweight fabrics and insulated with synthetic fiber. It prevents air from circulating between the points heated by your body and the points cooled by the outside air. The R-value of the pad is a 4.8, making it warm enough for all but the coldest nights. The lowest using temperature recommended by the manufacturer is -20ºC. Blowing would draw moisture into the pad and the use of a pump bag reduces fainting.
